In a 2007 HealthPartners survey of 17 metro hospitals, Lakeview was the only one to receive 99% patient satisfaction. More new moms said they would recommend Lakeview to their friends as a great place to have a baby. Now we'd like to share some of their stories and hear yours. I recently delivered a stillborn baby at Lakeview. We had the most wonderful team of nurses. Renee was one of our nurses and she did an awsome job. All though it was the worst experience I have ever had and hopefully will ever have, she made us feel like it was going to be all right. I'm not sure if we could have done it without her. She would come in early and leave late, so that she could be with us. I could tell to her, her job is so much more than just a job. I want to thank her so much and let everyone know how wonderful of a job she did. She is truley an amazing person. Thank you!!!

Lakeview was the perfect place to deliver. It has all of the high tech capabilities of a larger hospital, yet has a peaceful, calming environment. As a first time mom, this was very comforting. I will certainly choose Lakeview next time around!

When I was 28 weeks pregnant, I was put on bedrest due to risk of premature labor. Even though it was a scary time, my midwife, Melissa Frisvold, always made me feel at ease. She worked non-stop with the OB/GYN doctors to get me to a safe point in time to deliver. At 37 weeks I had a healthy baby boy. Even with the complications, the wonderful staff at SMG and Lakeview Hospital made it the perfect pregnancy and delivery for me and my husband.

Growing up in Stillwater, I knew that when I got pregnant with my second child that I wanted to have him at Lakeview. After being admitted for preeclampsia and having an unexpected hospital stay, through all the fear and the questions, I was put at ease by both the nursing staff and my physician. Through the whole process I was kept informed about every good and every bad thing and in the end I had a beautiful baby boy. Having a choice in medical care I would not have chosen anywhere else but Lakeview to have my child.

After finding out we were having our first baby, I knew right where I wanted to deliver. I had heard such great things about Lakeview Hospital and their Birth Center, along with the great staff and doctors, so I knew I would be in good hands. They were discussing signs of labor during our prenatal class at Lakeview. I looked at my husband and said, “I think I have had about four of these signs today.” It was about four weeks from our due date, but sure enough I was showing signs of labor. A few days later I was admitted. What I appreciated most about my labor and delivery experience was the security I felt with the nurse, doctor and additional Lakeview staff. From the hospital admission to our discharge home with our new little girl, our Lakeview experience was positive. I would recommend Lakeview to anyone!
